Hormone and weight care

Focused hormone and weight care

Dr. Hills offers dedicated hormone and medical weight care for adults who are looking for it. You don't have to leave a primary care doctor you like to get it.

Dr. Hills is working on credentialing with The Menopause Society.

Hormone Optimization or Weight Management Membership

Many primary care doctors don't manage menopause, hormone therapy or GLP-1 weight medications. If you're happy with your doctor but need this care, you can join a membership just for hormone or weight care.

$195a month for adults · $2,223 prepaid for a year

  • For some patients, a focused membership can be a more affordable way to get this care
  • Dr. Hills coordinates with your primary care doctor when appropriate, so your care stays connected
  • The same unhurried visits and follow-up described below

Included in full primary care membership

Hormones and weight affect overall health. For full primary care members, Dr. Hills treats hormone and weight concerns alongside everything else in your health. There is no add-on fee: the visits, follow-up and adjustments are part of the membership.

The same physician who manages your blood pressure, cholesterol or thyroid also manages your hormones and weight, and sees how each affects the others.

What the care looks like

Hormone and menopause care

For women in perimenopause and menopause, and for adults with other hormone concerns.

  1. A comprehensive first visit to talk through symptoms such as hot flashes, sleep, mood, memory, libido, joint aches and bladder health, and your personal and family history.
  2. Labs as appropriate.
  3. A plan made together: hormone therapy (patches, gels, pills, pellets, vaginal options), non-hormonal medications, and changes to sleep, activity and nutrition, weighed against your risks for heart disease, breast cancer, blood clots and bone loss.
  4. Follow-up as often as you need to adjust doses and side effects, then a regular check-in at least once a year, alongside your screenings.

Medical weight care

For adults whose weight affects their health, energy or other conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea or joint pain.

  1. A full assessment: history, medications that affect weight, labs, and the goals that matter to you.
  2. The foundations: a practical plan for food, activity, sleep and stress, revisited at each visit.
  3. Medication when it fits, including GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide. Dr. Hills prescribes them, finds the most affordable route (insurance or the manufacturers' self-pay programs) and manages doses and side effects.
  4. A long-term plan: regular check-ins on progress, muscle and bone health, and how to keep results if a medication is reduced or stopped.

Medications are prescribed by Dr. Hills, and patients obtain their prescriptions. Medications and labs are separate from membership; see Additional costs.
